I am from Islamabad, I and my friend visited Samundar Katha Lake very recently in summer 2020. We had 1 day nice trip to this place. We actually went through the M1 Motorway through Abbottabad as we were going for a tour up north. My experience in this place is nice. We saw mostly family were visiting the lake. If other tourist activities are added, this place can turn to a hot spot for tourism.
I visited Samundar Katha Lake with my family. This is a nice place for a day out with family. We did our picnic there and we had boating in the lake. Overall my experience was good. I will perhaps visit this place and especially the lake when it developed further.
