Department of Energy Engineering

The future of energy supply is a key challenge of the 21st century, as demands for energy become ever larger, and traditional supplies are dwindling. In particular, the challenge to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels is driven by both concerns about climate change and the need to increase the security of supply.

The department of energy engineering at the Swat University of Engineering and Technology provides facilities for study and research on energy addresses both conventional (fossil fuel) and renewable sources of energy. SUET’s research also examines the wider aspects of distribution and storage of energy, as well as the control of demand.

Join SUET to learn how we create, distribute, and use energy is one of the fundamental aspects of how societies function. The department of energy at Swat University of Engineering and Technology helps you explore how technology is used to understand and improve the way we interact with energy in all its forms. This ranges from building an online diagnosis tool for solving issues with nuclear power plants, to increasing the functions and usability of prostheses and using machine learning to predict electricity consumption.

While studying at Swat University of Engineering and Technology (SUET) towards your degree in energy engineer, you’ll be involved with the production of energy through natural resources, such as the extraction of oil and gas, as well as from renewable or sustainable sources of energy, including biofuels, the hydro, wind, and solar power.

Your focus will be on finding efficient, clean, and innovative ways to supply energy. You could work in a variety of roles, including:

  • designing and testing machinery
  • developing ways of improving existing processes
  • converting, transmitting and supplying useful energy to meet our needs for electricity
  • researching and developing ways to generate new energy, reduce emissions from fossil fuels, and
  • minimize environmental damage.

  1. What is the official website of the university of engineering and technology of Swat?

  2. I am very much looking forward to the establishment of Swat University of Engineering and Technology (SUET). The UET Swat will not only bring new opportunities to swat valley but will also help locals to get full advantage of this institute in the run for competition in technology. In the long run, this university can become one of the most reputable universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and can hopefully rank well in Pakistan if led and operated professionally.

I am an engineer by profession and I know a lot of Eninggers in Swat, the are very talented and can contribute to this university in many ways. In my humble opinion, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is to focus on advanced engineering courses such as Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, etc. in comparison to traditional engineering degrees such as civil or mechanical engineering.
